2018.55.10 - The Post Office was located behind this parked car which became City Hall. The Post Office then moved to the southwest corner of Main and Cypress in Mrs. Ada Ford's building that has been razed and the Phillip's building now stands there. In then moved to 1410 Main Street in Walnut Creek

2021.013.008 - El Rey Theatre, c. 1947, Main St. near Ygnacio Ave. (now civic Dr.). The El Rey opened in 1937 as Walnut Creek's second movie theatre. At the same time Lester Lawrence moved his Chrysler-Plymouth dealership from his old location at Main St. and Bonanza St into a new building next door (seen in background). Newman Realtors around corner to left behind Stillwell Realtors. Stillwell's was next to a sushi restaurant. This corner of shops and around to California Blvd. were demolished in 2004 for one large office building.
